简介：British detective inspector Kris Marshall is assigned to investigate a murder on the paradise island of Saint-Marie in the Caribbean. The victim is found with a knife wound to the chest, and it appears that he was stabbed multiple times. The investigation quickly reveals that the victim was a wealthy businessman who had recently become embroiled in a political scandal. As the case progresses, Kris discovers that there are several potential suspects, including a local businessman, a corrupt politician, and a disgruntled employee of the victim's company. The politician had been trying to extort money from the victim in exchange for silence, but when the victim refused to pay up, the politician went to extreme lengths to eliminate him. Kris' investigation ultimately leads to the arrest of the corrupt politician and the conviction of the other suspects.
