Fantômas is a mastermind behind the criminal underworld, and his reign of terror reaches its pinnacle when he becomes emperor of crime. The first act of his reign involves the robbery at the Royal Palace Hotel, where he and his accomplices steal valuable items. As his reputation grows, actor Valgrand takes on the role of public enemy No.1 on stage, using his talents to spread fear and chaos. In response, Inspector Juve, with the help of Fandor, tracks down Fantômas and brings him to justice. However, in a twist of fate, Fantômas is sentenced to die on the guillotine instead of being caught. The story continues as Fantômas attempts to escape justice by creating a new identity and starting anew. But as he struggles to rebuild his life, he realizes that the criminal underworld will always be a part of his existence, and he must find a way to balance his desire for freedom with his loyalty to his former allies.
