Mike, a Texan with a reputation for being an unreliable employee, is hired to kill his wife, Suzanne. However, when he arrives in Wyoming, he discovers that the job has been misunderstood and instead of killing her, he is tasked with killing Wayne, who had hired him to do so. Feeling betrayed by Wayne's deception, Mike takes advantage of the situation by collecting the money owed to him and fleeing the area. As he makes his way through the wilderness, he encounters Lyle, who is also on the run from his own employer. Lyle, a professional hitman known for his efficiency and accuracy, is initially wary of Mike but eventually decides to team up with him. Together, they navigate treacherous terrain and avoid pursuing authorities. However, their success is short-lived as they are soon confronted by a group of thugs led by one of Wayne's henchmen. The chase is intense, and both men are forced to use all of their skills to outmaneuver the enemy. In the end, Mike and Lyle manage to escape with the money, but not without taking a few bullets themselves. They vow to continue working together and never let their past mistakes affect their future endeavors.
