Giorgio is a greedy adulterer who makes a deal with a serial killer (Michel Antoine) to dispose of his wealthy wife, Nora. Unfortunately, a thrill-seeking young couple steal the killer's car with Nora's corpse in the trunk, ending up at a run-down seaside villa.
The couple, unaware that they have been caught, continue their journey and eventually reach the beach where Giorgio had previously arranged for Nora's body to be disposed of. There, they find Giorgio waiting for them, having been informed by the killer about their arrival.
Giorgio offers the couple a chance to escape with him if they help him dispose of Nora's body. The couple agrees, and Giorgio explains that he has a plan to get rid of Nora's body without alerting the authorities. However, things go wrong when the couple accidentally trigger an alarm that alerts the police, leading to a chase through the countryside.
In the chaos, Giorgio and the couple are captured by the police, and Giorgio is forced to reveal his true identity as the killer. He admits to killing Nora and explains that he had no choice but to do so to protect himself from the consequences of being exposed as a greedy adulterer.
As the police search for Giorgio, the couple is taken to a nearby hospital, where they learn that Nora's body has been recovered and that she was killed by her husband. They are also told that Giorgio will be charged with murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.
The couple is grateful for their narrow escape, but realize that their lives may never be the same again after witnessing the horrors of murder and betrayal firsthand. They decide to move on and focus on their future together, leaving behind the memories of their harrowing experience.
