John Day is a bank manager who resides with his wife, Maria Day. The couple recently lost their only daughter and Maria has been deeply depressed ever since. She rarely opens up to anyone, preferring to keep her feelings bottled up inside. One day, while John is away on office work, a courier-boy enters the house and takes Maria as a captive. However, John quickly overpowers the boy and frees Maria. The two men then set off together, determined to rescue Maria and bring the courier-boy to justice. With the help of his colleagues at the bank, John finally locates the kidnapper and brings him to justice. The courier-boy is arrested and sentenced to jail for his crimes.
