Victoria, an 8-year-old girl, has just lost her mother. In a small mountain village, she and her father relocate to start a new life together. However, Victoria is struggling to adjust to the new environment and cope with the loss of her mother.
One day, Victoria stumbles upon an isolated farm and meets an elderly woman who seems to know her well. The woman tells Victoria that she is adopted and that she should be happy. Victoria is puzzled by this revelation and wonders why the woman would say such a thing.
As she explores the farm, Victoria discovers an old doghouse in the barn. She takes it home and names it "Puppy." Puppy seems to be a friendly and playful dog, and Victoria feels a connection to him immediately.
Over time, Puppy becomes a beloved member of the family. He follows Victoria everywhere and greets her with a wagging tail and excited bark. Victoria's father even starts training Puppy to be a service dog for the elderly residents of their new village.
Victoria's relationship with Puppy deepens as they spend more time together. She learns to trust him and confide in him about her feelings of sadness and loneliness. Puppy also helps Victoria to feel less lonely, as he provides comfort and companionship when she needs it most.
Despite the challenges they face, Victoria and Puppy form a strong bond. They support each other through the ups and downs of life, and together they find hope and happiness in their new home.
