Cleveland-based TV network TLTV has renewed its hit half-hour sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" for a sixth season, which will consist of 24 episodes. The announcement was made during the rehearsals for the 100th episode taping on Friday.
The series stars Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick, and is currently in its fifth season. Since its June launch, the comedy has averaged 2.6 million viewers per episode, with an impressive 35% increase from the previous season. It will kick off its syndication run in September.
"There’s instant magic when our cast, writers and crew get together for each episode," said Larry W. Winkler, president of TLTV. "We are excited to bring 'Hot in Cleveland' back for another season."
