Based on the description, here's a possible revised script for the sitcom: Title: The Malcolm Family Saga Opening Scene: We open with Malcolm (played by John C. Reilly) sitting at his desk in his bedroom, surrounded by books and papers. He looks up at the camera and says, "I'm Malcolm, middle brother of the dysfunctional family. I'm the one who gets special treatment from our parents. They believe that military school will reform me and keep me out of trouble." Cut to Francis (played by Michael Douglas), who is sitting at his desk in the living room, playing video games. He looks up at the camera and says, "I'm Francis, the eldest brother. My parents think that military school will reform me and keep me out of trouble." Malcolm walks into the living room and sits down next to Francis. They both look up at the camera and say, "Hi, Francis." Francis looks up at the camera and says, "Hi, Malcolm." Malcolm asks Francis, "How was your day?" Francis replies, "It was alright, just another day of fighting with my parents about everything." Malcolm says, "Yeah, I know. It's frustrating." Francis nods and adds, "Well, it's always frustrating when you have to deal with your parents." Malcolm shrugs and says, "Yeah, I guess so." Cut to Malcolm's parents (played by Jane Fonda and Danny DeVito) sitting in their living room, watching TV. They both look up at the camera and say, "Hi, Malcolm." Malcolm says, "Hi, Mom and Dad." His mom asks, "How was your day?" Malcolm replies, "It was alright, just another day of fighting with my parents about everything." His dad says, "Yeah, I know. It's always frustrating." Malcolm shrugs and says, "Yeah, I guess so." His mom adds, "Well, it's always frustrating when you have to deal with your parents." Malcolm nods and says, "Yeah, I guess so." Cut to Malcolm's parents walking into the living room, where they see Malcolm and Francis sitting together. They both look up at the camera and say, "Hi, Malcolm." His mom asks, "What were you guys talking about?" Malcolm says, "Just some stuff about how we need to get better at dealing with our parents." His dad nods and says, "Yeah, I agree. We need to work on that." Malcolm says, "Yeah, I agree." His mom adds, "Well, it's always good to talk about problems with our parents." Malcolm shrugs and says, "Yeah, I guess so." Cut to Malcolm's parents walking into the living room again, where they see Malcolm and Francis sitting together. They both look up at the camera and say, "Hi, Malcolm."
