Gilbert's allergy to eggs leads to bullying and embarrassment. He tries to keep the allergy a secret, but when his awful aunt is to babysit him, she tries to poison him with eggs. But Gilbert plans his revenge. Gilbert's aunt, Mrs. Gilbert, has a terrible allergy to eggs. She can't even eat them herself, let alone have them around her children. When Gilbert was young, she used to make him eat eggs for breakfast every morning, but now he avoids it at all costs. One day, Mrs. Gilbert decides to try out a new recipe for egg-based dishes at dinner. She tells Gilbert that she wants to make him an egg salad sandwich. Gilbert agrees, but he's not sure what to expect. As they sit down to eat, Mrs. Gilbert puts the sandwich in front of Gilbert and starts talking about how delicious it will be. Gilbert takes a bite, and immediately feels nauseous. He looks up at his aunt and says, "This is awful! I can't eat this!" Mrs. Gilbert, taken aback by Gilbert's reaction, asks if there's something wrong with the sandwich. Gilbert explains that he's allergic to eggs, so he doesn't want to eat anything that might contain them. Mrs. Gilbert is shocked and angry, but she quickly calms down and apologizes. The next day, Mrs. Gilbert decides to try again. This time, she prepares a different dish, hoping that Gilbert won't notice the eggs in it. However, when she serves the dish, Gilbert notices the eggs right away. He looks up at his aunt and says, "I don't like this! You're trying to poison me!" Mrs. Gilbert is furious and accuses Gilbert of lying. She demands that he tell the truth about his allergies, or else she will leave him alone forever. Gilbert refuses to give up his secret, and the two end up arguing until they both grow tired of each other. From that day on, Gilbert tries to hide his allergy from everyone except his closest friends. He tells them that he has a severe case of chicken pox, which makes it difficult for him to eat any kind of food. However, he still can't shake off the feeling that something is always watching him, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce. Years pass, and Gilbert grows into a successful adult. He works hard to pay back the debt he owes his aunt for trying to poison him with eggs. He saves up money and finally buys a house for himself and his wife. They raise a family together and live happily ever after. But as time goes on, Gilbert can't help but wonder if there's still something lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce once more. He knows that he can never fully trust anyone again, but he also knows that he needs to be careful in order to protect his loved ones.
