Nala, a 13-year-old girl from the city, travels with her family to her grandmother's home in the countryside, to try to find a cure for her little sister's mysterious illness. But she'll soon find that her granny is not exactly what she seems.
As she approaches their old farmhouse, Nala notices something strange about her grandmother's house. The windows are covered by thick curtains, and the doors are locked tight. She can't help but feel uneasy as she steps inside.
Her grandmother greets them warmly, but there's something off about her demeanor. Nala senses that something is not right, but she can't put her finger on it. Her grandmother tells them that they have been invited to stay for the weekend, but there's one condition: no television or cellphones allowed.
At first, Nala is thrilled at the prospect of spending time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. She eagerly agrees to the rules, but as the days go by, she begins to notice strange things happening around the house.
One evening, while everyone else is asleep, Nala hears whispering coming from the basement. Curiosity getting the better of her, she sneaks downstairs to investigate. To her surprise, she finds her grandmother lying on the floor, unconscious.
Nala panics and calls for help, but when her parents arrive, they are equally shocked to find her grandmother lying there. They quickly realize that something sinister is going on at the farmhouse, and that their grandmother may be the key to unlocking a dark secret.
As they begin to piece together the clues left behind by their grandmother, Nala realizes that she must uncover the truth before it's too late. With determination and courage, she will do whatever it takes to save her family and uncover the mystery surrounding their grandmother's mysterious illness.
