George Stark, a wealthy industrialist, invites five business friends of his to his remote Mediterranean island for a weekend of relaxation and business. When he introduces them to Professor Farrell, a brilliant chemist who gives investment ideas to the group, they begin to suspect foul play. However, against Farrell's wishes, the group goes behind each other's backs to obtain information on Farrell's chemistry ideas, which soon leads to the discovery that one guest and resident are turning up dead one by one. As Stark and Farrell must rally the group together to determine the identity of the killer, trust begins to break down among the guests. With tensions running high, Stark realizes that the murderer is someone close to him or Farrell, but without evidence, it's impossible to prove their innocence or guilt. The group becomes increasingly paranoid and suspicious of each other, leading to an escalation of violence and chaos. In the midst of this turmoil, Stark discovers that the killer is not only someone close to him or Farrell but also someone they all know. With no time to waste, Stark and Farrell must work together to uncover the truth and prevent more deaths from occurring before it's too late.
