Angela deMarco is an unhappy married woman, who is currently in the Mafia. When her husband, Frank deMarco, is killed, Angela takes this opportunity to break free from the Mafia world and start a new life. However, Frank's boss, Tony Russo, begins courting Angela, who is unresponsive. The FBI begins surveillance on her, thinking she might be his new mistress. FBI agent Mike Downey goes undercover as Angela's neighbor, but soon finds himself attracted to Angela himself.
