Charlie, who works at a restaurant, takes his lunch break to roller skate. He meets Mr. Stout, who makes advances toward Edna, whose father and Mrs. Stout had previously been in the restaurant. After a roller skating ballet, Charlie is invited to a party at Edna's. The "couples," including a new partner for Mr. Stout, show up.
