A man on his 44th birthday reflects on his life, blending the past and present with a dreamy vision. The protagonist seems to believe that time travel is possible, leading him to imagine events happening in an imaginary, invented time. This film, formally complex but with its own unique style, explores themes of Polish destiny. In 1972, it won several awards, including the Warsaw Mermaid at the Film Critics' Club and the Special Jury Award at Lubuskie Film Summer in Lagow. In 1973, it received a special award for the screenplay at the San Remo Film Festival.
