In a near future where environmental pressures have led to widespread food shortages, technology has emerged as the only viable solution. This technological advancement has been aided by the use of agricultural drones, which can maximize the yield from land that is left untouched due to natural disasters or other factors.
However, this new way of farming comes with its own set of challenges. Two caring care providers, Claudia (played by Coleman) and her mentor John (played by Craig muMs Grant), are tasked with assisting sick farmland inhabitants in their final moments. Despite their best efforts, some of these inhabitants eventually succumb to the effects of the technology they've been subjected to.
John, who had been instrumental in guiding Claudia through the process of assisting these individuals, dies under mysterious circumstances. As a result, Claudia is left to investigate the connection between the health of her clients and the technology they are using.
As she digs deeper into the issue, she uncovers a shocking truth: the health of the people she was assisting is directly tied to the technology they were using, and it's not just any technology - it's specifically agricultural drones. It turns out that these drones are not only responsible for the increased yields but also have a negative impact on human health.
The film then takes a dark turn as it explores the consequences of this discovery. It raises questions about the ethics of using technology for profit, especially when it involves the well-being of those who cannot defend themselves. The film ends on a note of hope, as Claudia decides to take action and fight against the system that created this problem in the first place.
