Autumn 2015. Two lifeguards from Spain, Oscar and Gerard, are shocked to see a heart-rending photograph of a little boy drowned in the Mediterranean Sea. They decide to travel to the Greek island of Lesbos to help those struggling with dangerous crossings and armed conflicts. Upon arrival, they discover that thousands are risking their lives every day trying to escape from their home countries. However, no one is doing any rescue work.
Oscar and Gerard team up with Esther, Nico, and other members of the team to fight against the odds. Together, they will do what none of the authorities are doing and provide support to the thousands of people who desperately need it. For all involved, this first trip will be an odyssey, one that will change their lives forever.
