In Naples, a voice from the skies announces one morning that the final judgment will be at 6 p.m. on that day. What follows is a series of vignettes depicting various people's reactions (or lack thereof) to the announcement. 1. A group of friends gathers around a table in a café, eagerly discussing the news. One person says, "It seems like an omen for the upcoming weekend!" Another adds, "Maybe we should start planning our trip to Italy." 2. A middle-aged woman sits alone at a park bench, staring blankly at the sky. She whispers to herself, "This can't be real. I hope it's just a joke." 3. A teenager walks through the city streets with his headphones on, oblivious to the world around him. He stops in front of a billboard and reads the announcement aloud to himself, "The final judgment... June 6th." 4. A businessman enters a conference room and immediately begins speaking to his team about how they need to prepare for the event. He tells them, "We need to make sure everything is ready by tomorrow morning." 5. A family gathers for dinner, but their conversation turns to the announcement instead of the food. The father says, "I heard that the final judgment will be tonight. What do you think it means?" 6. A priest stands in front of a congregation, holding a Bible. He begins to recite scripture, but soon becomes distracted by the news of the announcement. He mumbles, "Oh dear, what a strange coincidence." 7. A journalist interviews a local resident who says, "I heard the announcement this morning and thought it was just a rumor until I saw the news report." 8. A tourist stops at a tourist information booth and asks the attendant about the announcement. The attendant replies, "It's not uncommon for such things to happen, but don't worry too much about it." 9. A lawyer consults with a client about the potential implications of the announcement. They discuss whether or not it could affect their case. The client says, "I hope it doesn't have any bearing on my work." 10. A student walks into a classroom and sees the announcement on the wall. He raises his hand and asks the teacher, "Is this really happening? Are we all going to die?" As the day goes on, more and more people begin to pay attention to the news about the final judgment. Some are hopeful, while others are fearful. But no matter their reaction, they all share a sense of unease about what lies ahead.
