The Sniper School at Fort Benning, Georgia, has been hosting the International Sniper Competition for eight years. This competition is a grueling event where teams of elite snipers from around the world compete to earn the coveted title of "top sniper." The competition tests participants' precision, camouflage, stalking, and observational skills in realistic conflict and environment scenarios. The eighteen challenging events include long-range shooting, urban combat, and covert maneuvering. The competition brings together the most elite snipers from the United States Army, Marines, and Air Force branches. For the first time ever, a law enforcement team from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has participated. The international field includes representatives from Canada, Denmark, France, and Ireland. Since some military teams are comprised of active special forces personnel, many of the competitors have been concealed in order to ensure their safety.
