Lindsay becomes suspicious when Rebecca seems to be secretly awaiting an important letter. As the letter finally arrives, Lindsay realizes how right she was about what she suspected. Ellenor receives a distressed call from her client, who has been involved in a drunk driving accident that resulted in the death of a man on the street. Ellenor is shocked to discover exactly who the client hit. Hellenan prosecutes two boys accused of rape and murder, each accusing the other of being the perpetrator. However, as the trial progresses, Hellen ends up making a deal with one of the boys, despite knowing the truth about the other boy's involvement.
