Will and Grace are best friends. Will, a gay lawyer, and Grace, a straight interior designer, live in New York. They both moved in together after their respective relationships fell apart. However, when Grace is engaged to a jerk, she moves in with Will, who happens to be his friend Jack's flamboyant gay friend. Meanwhile, Karen, Grace's secretary/assistant, also lives with them due to her financial situation. Grace initially wants to find a place of her own, but she eventually ends up moving in with Will as their permanent roommates. The two become close and share a lot of personal stories about their lives. However, their relationship takes a turn when Grace finds out that she is pregnant. She is conflicted about whether to keep the baby or not, and Will helps her make a decision. As they navigate through their growing family, Will and Grace continue to grow closer, despite their different backgrounds and experiences. They support each other through thick and thin and become even more inseparable than before.
