A group of aliens has come to Earth to learn about its population, customs, and more. To avoid detection, they have taken on human form, which gives them human emotions, physical needs, and other human characteristics. However, their lack of understanding of what they mean or the inhibitions normally present in humans can lead to awkward and uncomfortable situations. Their leader takes the position of a college professor, while their military expert is his sister. Their intelligence expert, supposedly the oldest member of the group, takes on the form of his teenage son. The uninhibited reactions turn everyday events into unusual situations, such as the professor accidentally calling his sister's phone number instead of her name during a lecture. As the aliens continue to adapt to life on Earth, they encounter various challenges and obstacles. They must navigate the language barrier, cultural differences, and social norms that exist between humans and aliens.
