Jane, a 15-year-old girl with a very human mother who recently passed away and may have slept with a vampire about 15 years and nine months ago, craves raw meat and has to wear a lot of sunblock. Francis, her father, realizes that his life as an immortal vampire might be changing radically at first, but eventually embraces it.
