简介：Mike Lambert, a former mining engineer, arrives in a small town after his truck breaks down. He is met by Paula at the La Paloma Cafe, where they strike up a conversation and quickly become entwined in a passionate affair. However, Mike soon finds himself in trouble with the law after making an illegal stop at the local police station. Despite being fined for his actions, Paula takes it upon herself to bail him out of jail and find him a room to stay at. But her intentions are not what they seem, and Mike begins to suspect that she may be involved in something more sinister than just helping him out of a jam. As he settles into his new life in the small town, Mike becomes friendly with miner Jeff Cunningham and starts working on a mine project together.
