简介：Edwina Esketh, a brave and adventurous lady, embarks on a journey to the princely state of Ranchipur in India with her husband Lord Albert Esketh. The couple is there to purchase some of the Maharajah's horses. Upon arriving, Edwina is surprised to meet an old friend, Tom Ransome. Ransome had visited Ranchipur seven years earlier to paint the Maharajah's portrait and had stayed on. Ransome has developed a reputation for womanizing and drinking excessively, but this does not bother Edwina, who is bored and looking for fun. She soon meets the local doctor, Major Rama Safti, who is a hardworking and serious individual. He does not immediately respond to her advances, but when the seasonal rains come, disaster strikes when a dam fails, flooding much of the countryside. Disease soon sets in, and everyone, including Ransome and Edwina, works at a non-stop pace to save as many lives as possible. Safti deeply admires Edwina's sacrifice and dedication to saving others. However, fate intervenes when Edwina is caught in a storm and falls into the river. She survives but loses her memory, leaving her unable to recall the events that led to her accident. As time goes on, Edwina gradually regains her memories and reconnects with her friends and family. She learns about the importance of friendship, loyalty, and selflessness in helping others. With the help of her newfound memories, she continues to work towards saving more lives in Ranchipur.…
