简介：A newlywed sheriff, John Smith, is on a routine patrol in the small town of Greenfield. He stops to help a woman who has fallen down an alley and notices a strange creature lurking nearby. The creature, a shambling monster, appears to be trying to eat the citizens of the town. John quickly realizes that this is no ordinary monster. It seems to be made up of several different parts, each one moving independently and emitting a sickening odor. The sheriff knows he needs to act fast if he wants to save the people of Greenfield before it's too late. He races back to his office, grabs his trusty revolver and rushes outside again. This time, however, the monster is nowhere to be seen. Instead, there is only the sound of rustling leaves and the smell of rotten flesh. John takes cover behind a large tree and waits for the monster to appear. As it does, he fires at it with everything he has. The bullets hit the monster but do not seem to have any effect. Suddenly, the monster rears its head up from behind the tree and begins to move towards the sheriff. John tries to shoot it again but misses this time. The monster reaches him and begins to drag him away. Just as the sheriff is about to be dragged into the forest, he manages to get himself free and shoots the monster several times. The monster falls to the ground, dead. John runs back to his house and calls for help. The townspeople gather around him and thank him for saving their lives. They also express their gratitude for the bravery and courage shown by Sheriff John Smith during this harrowing ordeal.…
