简介：After a long absence, a well-known Neapolitan writer returns to their hometown. During their visit, they meet an old friend known as Caracas, who has undergone a significant transformation. Caracas, once a neo-fascist skinhead, is now converting to Islam. The writer is taken aback by this change and wonders how it could have happened. As they reminisce about their time together in the past, the writer realizes that there are still many unanswered questions about their friendship. They decide to return to Naples and seek out answers. In the course of their journey, they come across several people who had been friends with Caracas during his neo-fascist days. These individuals offer different perspectives on the changes that have occurred in Caracas' life. One of them recalls a time when Caracas was involved in a violent protest against the government. He explains that he was inspired by the movement and joined in its spirit. However, he later realized that his actions were not aligned with his values, and he decided to embrace Islam as a way to find peace in his life. The writer is impressed by Caracas' honesty and openness about his past. They also recognize that Caracas' conversion to Islam has brought him a sense of inner peace and contentment. As they continue their journey back to Naples, the writer reflects on their own life and how much they have changed since they left. They realize that they too have made significant changes in their lives and that they can no longer relate to the person they used to be. At the end of their journey, the writer meets up with Caracas again and expresses their admiration for his newfound spirituality. They share a heartfelt conversation about their past friendship and how it has shaped both their lives. From that day on, the writer and Caracas remain close friends, even though they live in different parts of the world. They continue to support each other through thick and thin and share their experiences with others.
